Expanding the national healthcare system in Sudan

VIDA was tasked by the World Bank with developing a prioritised geospatial list of healthcare facilities for electrification in Sudan, where 60% of the population is unconnected to the grid.

VIDA’s data enabled decision-makers to identify 1,100 high-priority facilities for electrification based on the proposed impact on the local community. It also revealed 35 facilities that required tailored electrification solutions.

VIDA has been leveraged by large public sector agencies to promote investment into healthcare facilities across more than 10 countries.
